Over 200 people battled through storm Bert on Saturday to join us at the 18th annual Gala Dinner Awards Ceremony to celebrate the induction of this years members to the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame. Congratulations to Straightliners, The Huxley family, Ray Baskerville & Peter Miller and Martin Hill. The winners and runners up in the Junior Dragster and Junior Dragbike Championships were also presented with a Stuart Bradbury Juniors award.

The first surprise of the evening was the unveiling of Swamp Rat 21 and we were delighted that Donna Garlits, her daughter Sarah and Chuck Keppel, General Manager of Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing joined us. Thank you to Keith Bartlett for making this possible.

The second surprise was a Special Appreciation Award presented to Simon Groves for all of his help to both our organisations over the past nine years.

The BDRHoF Benevolent Fund raised funds through a raffle and many thanks to Nikki Marshall for organising this. Colin Miller made his arduous trip worthwhile winning one of the star prizes donated by Pete Dodd. Thanks to Ian, Ben and Kathy for helping with this and thanks also go to all our volunteers and sponsors who make the evening special for all our guests.
