The trustees of the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame Benevolent Fund are pleased to report a successful result from the Grand Auction & Sale at Santa Pod Raceway’s recent 2025 Dragstalgia event. The auction delivered £3,600 into the Benevolent Fund’s coffers, which exist to help those in the Drag Racing community beset by misfortune.

“Particular thanks are offered to the team who displayed ‘Tudor Rose’ in the historic marquee: Richard Lyon, Mick White and Phil Forth. Their invitation to visitors to sit in the venerable AA/Fuel Dragster’s cockpit in return for cash donations helped raise significant sums”
Funds were also raised for the Hall of Fame itself. Thanks are due to Max Frost and the Santa Pod Raceway team for the provision of the facilities and the permission to use them for fund-raising purposes. There is gratitude too to all who so kindly donated items for auction, and to those who placed bids on them. The key help provided by Julian Parsons of AMP Audio and NitroFM in setting up the special display of historic crew shirts is appreciated.
Attention already turns to 2026’s Dragstalgia auction, which will focus on two major UK Drag Racing anniversaries: the Hall of Fame’s 20th, and Santa Pod Raceway’s 60th (while not forgetting, across the Atlantic, NHRA’s 75th).
The Hall of Fame’s directors, advisers and selectors and the Benevolent Fund’s trustees all serve in a voluntary capacity, pro bono. Benevolent Fund enquiries may be addressed to Nicola Marshall at nikki.marshall@britishdragracinghof.co.uk.
