Sunday Lunch with Tudor Rose

Last Sunday at Melbourne Raceway we promised you Sunday Lunch with Tudor Rose. I think we delivered with that promise thanks to the guys from the Tudor Rose revival team, Richard Lyon and Mick White, and of course Super Gas/Pro ET racer Bob Molden who was press ganged by his ‘White Noise’ crew to take the seat in this classic British ‘sixties slingshot dragster; a seat once occupied by UK legends Rex Sluggett and BDRHoF member Dennis Priddle, for a Sunday lunch crackle.

Shortly afterwards the team offered an open cockpit for members of the public to have their photos taken sitting in the dragster from which the team donated £60 to the Melbourne Raceway Track Fund and £60 to the BDRHOF Benevolent Fund. Prior to the fire up Mick had already pledged £400 to the track fund which was raised by another £100 to £500. Thanks guys. Your continued support is most welcome by everyone concerned at Melbourne Raceway and Straightliners.

I know the team wish to thank everyone who took on this photographic opportunity which will, I’m sure, be long treasured memory of their visit to Melbourne Raceway.
