Adding Extra Excitement to the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame Gala Dinner
The forthcoming British Drag Racing Hall of Fame Gala dinner will celebrate some of the biggest names and most significant characters in the history of British Drag Racing – but this year, guests will have the opportunity to make a little history of their own.
Eurodragster.com is delighted to announce the Eurodragster.com Cup, a special reaction time competition that will take place during the afternoon in the Grange Bar. Yes – we will have a full-on Port-a-Tree complete with digital scoreboard so everyone can see just how good…..or not you are.
Designed to bring a taste of the drag strip into the room, the competition will challenge guests to demonstrate their ability to judge the perfect moment and deliver the quickest reaction time. As every racer knows, fractions of a second can make the difference between victory and defeat – and the Eurodragster.com Cup will put that skill to the test.
Whether you’re a seasoned racer, former competitor, crew member, fan or simply confident in your reflexes, the competition is open to anyone attending the dinner. You won’t need a race car, a licence or a pair of driving gloves – just sharp reactions and a steady nerve! Oh and £5 for three attempts with all of the money raised being donated to the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame Benevolent Fund. No doubt there will be some grudge racing after dinner as well, so bring extra funds, card payments will be accepted. With the Eurodragster.com Cup up for grabs, there will be an added reason to keep your reactions sharp.
The competition will run during the afternoon with qualifying then onto eliminations for the top 16 to determine our outright winner.
Of course, the ultimate focus of the occasion remains the celebration of this year’s inductees whose achievements have helped shape British Drag Racing. The British Drag Racing Hall of Fame Gala dinner provides a unique opportunity for the Drag Racing community to come together, share memories and recognise the people who have made an enduring contribution to the sport.
